2024-25 Scholarship Program

In support of UPMC Western Maryland, the WMHS Auxiliary aims to assist with workforce retention and development efforts through scholarship funds. The Auxiliary’s scholarship program this year will be applied to those who have an intention to come and work at UPMC Western Maryland or area already employed by this health system.

New this year, students will sign an agreement letter demonstrating their intent, and existing employees can apply for tuition reimbursement. Six winners overall will be awarded $2,000, paid out in two installments, in August and January.

Applications will be due (or postmarked) by June 14, 2024 at 3 pm. Only completed and signed applications (with all necessary forms) will be reviewed by the committee. WMHS Auxiliary Student Scholarship, for those pursuing a healthcare profession, with the intention to work at UPMC Western Maryland upon graduation.
WMHS Auxiliary Employee Student Reimbursement Program, for those already employed at UPMC Western Maryland who are seeking relief with existing student loans.

The WMHS Foundation (distinct from the Auxiliary) will be taking a one-year hiatus from its regular scholarship offerings as they reevaluate their program to best complement the variety of assistance and reimbursement options being offered by UPMC.
