We provide care to individuals seeking care and offer financial assistance. You may be entitled to receive financial assistance at Western Maryland Health System with the cost of medically necessary hospital services based on income and insurance status.
We encourage you to promote your own safety by being well informed and involved in the process of your care. At WMHS, you can expect full consideration of privacy and confidentiality during discussions, exams, treatments and throughout.
Your safety is important to us. As a patient, you play a vital role in making your care safe by being an active, involved and informed member of your health care team. Ask today about our “Speak Up” initiative.
As soon as you’re admitted into the hospital, we want to make you as comfortable as possible. Our patient rooms include free Wi-Fi, a TV and TV channel list, a phone and a call light button. Your caregiver will be happy to review your room amenities with you at any time.
While you are a patient at WMHS, a team of physicians, called hospitalists, may be managing your care. A hospitalist can be a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant who focuses on your care while hospitalized and are committed to your care 24/7, 7 days a week.
We value the feedback that our patients, visitors, and community members provide us and we make improvements to address your concerns as possible. Please speak with a team member or call us today.
WMHS is committed to a proactive approach to pain management through appropriate assessment and interventions based on your report of pain. Your caregiver will do all they can to treat your pain safely, and give you tools to manage your pain, so that you can be as comfortable as possible.
