Hematology Oncology Physician
Schwab Family Cancer Center, UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD. The Schwab Family Cancer Center has received accreditation by both the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the Commission on Cancer.
Full-time board-eligible/board-certified Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to join a well-established group of physicians at UPMC Western Maryland’s Schwab Family Cancer Center. The physician will be responsible for practicing hematology and medical oncology in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary group of physicians, APPs, and allied health professionals. Each clinician will be expected to develop an active practice and to actively participate in national clinical research.
Western Maryland Health System is currently seeking a full-time Endocrinologist, board-eligible or board-certified.
Responsibilities include providing inpatient consultation services, as well as outpatient consultation and clinic. Candidates will serve in the role as consultant, facilitate patient and family goals of care, consult with the attending physician and the interdisciplinary team to establish written plans of care at intervals specified in the plan, and facilitate access to appropriate care services. Diabetes Management is located on campus in the Center for Clinical Resources. There is excellent Pathology and Radiology support and the opportunity for full spectrum Endocrinology.
UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a board-eligible or board -certified Nephrologist for a full-time position. Relocation assistance and CME reimbursement is available.
Candidate would provide inpatient/outpatient care and consultations to members of the medical staff pertaining to the diagnosis and management of patients with diseases of the kidney and hypertension, including specialized diagnostic/interventional procedures, all modalities of dialysis management and expertise in kidney transplant management. Candidates would also review the patient’s medical history, perform physical exams; prescribe appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests; perform kidney biopsy and emergent hemodialysis access based on the needs of the patient; make appropriate medical management prescriptions to address unique complexities of kidney care such as hypertension, immunosuppression, bone and mineral metabolism, anemia, and hyperlipidemia.

Primary Care Physician
Advanced Lakeside Medical Center in McHenry, MD, is seeking a full-time Primary Care Provider. Located in Garrett County, Maryland on the northern most shore of Deep Creek Lake, McHenry is near the Garrett County Airport, Wisp Ski Resort, and Golf Club at Wisp.
The provider will be responsible for the provision of a full range of primary care patient services, without obstetrics, consistent with the Scope of Practice allowed by the State of Maryland and must encompass a patient centered mindset with a commitment to high quality of care. Provider will have a four-day work week with 18-24 patients per day and 1:4 call (phone only).
UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a full-time psychiatrist. Candidates will examine, evaluate, diagnose and treats psychiatric disorders and/or patients with a chemical dependency. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains and evaluates data through interview techniques. Diagnoses psychiatric disorders and prescribes and evaluates effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures. Recommends disposition of psychiatric cases and advises on problems related to mental health and prevention of mental disorders. Serves as psychiatric consultant to UPMC Western Maryland and as part of the clinical team, functions in contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder and or chemical dependency.
- Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, behavioral disorders and chemical dependency including outpatient detoxification.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, MFTs, counselors, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
- Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
- Counsel outpatients and other patients during office visits.
- Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.
- Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
- Advise and inform treatment center professionals, relatives, and significant others of patients’ conditions and treatment.
