The Cancer Center at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center is named in honor of the Schwab Family of Cumberland.  This generous group, long known for their world-famous local children's wear company, chose this to name the Regional Cancer Center in honor of their loved ones who have fallen to this dreaded disease.  A stately brushed aluminum plaque graces the entranceway of the Schwab Family Cancer Center, honoring nine family members, and recognizing the family's generous one million dollar gift to the Capital Campaign to build the Regional Medical Center

Patients and their families often choose to make a donation to the Schwab Family Cancer Center in honor or in memory of a loved one.  We welcome these contributions and appreciate the kindness of those who wish to honor or remember a special person who has had cancer treatment at WMHS.  For more information about how to make a donation in honor or in memory of a loved one, please visit the WMHS Foundation.
