UPMC Western Maryland 2018 Accomplishments

Share:

Throughout Fiscal Year 2018, we have seen healthcare challenges and disruptions facing our industry. However, we at Western Maryland Health System have been advancing our plans to stay viable and focused on our mission. We have signed a clinical affiliation agreement with UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) and have started to bring in specialists and sub-specialists which will complement the existing clinical programs at WMHS, including cardiovascular and neuroscience programs. Building upon the newly created relationship with UPMC will take us to long-term viability through cutting-edge technology, innovative programs, and services, as well as access to the many other clinical programs offered by one of the largest health systems in the United States.

Over the past year, we have been recognized and honored for our quality standards, innovative programs and excellence in care while continuing to demonstrate our commitment of placing the patient first. Our value-based care delivery system has helped us secure remarkable partnerships across the care continuum, which will allow our patients and our community to receive the care they need in the most appropriate location.

WMHS is proud to continue positioning itself to build upon our success in providing value-based care and to ensure the residents in our region have local access to the broadest range of world-class clinical quality healthcare services possible.
