I had a wonderful experience with my PCP, Dr. Riley. She consistently includes me in my care decisions, ensuring I fully understand my care plan and feel empowered to make informed choices. I LOVE Dr. Riley. Unlike the majority of doctors, she actually LISTENS to her patient's concerns, and she doesn't just want to throw a bunch of pills at you to treat your symptoms. She actively wants to help get to the root of your issue/s so that it/they can be treated correctly and effectively. I suspect a large part of this is the fact that she is a DO rather than an MD. Every DO I've ever been a patient of has been far superior to all of the MDs that I've been a patient of.

Although I had seen this doctor at least 2-3 times before, she was confused about a medical condition I have (thinking it was hypo instead of hyper) and who was prescribing my medication. It didn't appear that she had looked at my medical record before our appointment. In our three visits thus far, the only physical exam she provides Is to listen to my heart and lungs (as I'm thankfully healthy!). I'm considering whether to see her again or ask to switch to another provider.
