Chronic Kidney Disease Education Classes

Program

The Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Education program assists patients with understanding kidney disease, management of chronic kidney disease and treatment options. Goals of CKD education are to identify kidney disease and the cause, discuss life-style changes that can slow disease progression and preparation for renal replacement therapy. Classes are scheduled individually and typically last one hour. Family members are encouraged to attend with the patient. Anyone interested in attending may call 240-964-8634 to schedule an appointment, after discussing it with your nephrologist.
