Values in Action Spirit Award Recipient for April - Diane Winters
Diane is an exceptional employee with a positive, "can do" attitude and an unwavering dedication to her patients. She is known for her attention to detail in patient care and is very flexible in working as part of the team. Diane takes extra time with patients seeing to their personal and spiritual needs. She often goes above and beyond the call of duty to make a patient more comfortable. "I really enjoy working with my patients," says Diane. "I like to listen to them and offer a kind word or deed that means a lot to someone in need." She says it is rewarding to help people get better and see them get back on the right track. Diane is well-respected by her peers and she has earned the respect of patients and staff alike. Co-workers say she is thoughtful, caring, personable and conscientious. She has been recognized with many Peak Performer Awards and her name is often mentioned in patient satisfaction surveys. Diane is a role model for others and serves as a Service Excellence Champion for her department. She reflects the core values of the health system and truly makes a difference everyday. A resident of Frostburg, Diane enjoys reading, photography and travel, as well as being with her nine nieces and nephews. She has been an EMT for the Frostburg Area Ambulance Service for 21 years and is now a life-time member. Diane also does some home personal care for the elderly and was a hospice volunteer before coming to work at WMHS. Diane earned two "Lifesaver" Awards for doing CPR on a neighbor and brining him back to life. She is actively involved in prayer and bible study. Congratulations, Diane! | ||||||||||
