Western Maryland Health System has a 17 bed inpatient unit for acute psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse detoxification services. The unit provides a highly structured program under the care of experienced psychiatrists, highly trained nurses and a multidisciplinary treatment team. The program provides a safe and secure environment that facilitates therapeutic interventions to promote stabilization and prepare the patient for discharge back to the community.
