Donation Made to Pediatrics

Peds DonationThe Maryland State Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles, recently helped to purchase an Ultraview machine for the Pediatrics Department of the Western Maryland Health System. This state-of-the-art equipment monitors children's respiration, heart rate, and heart rhythms, and has alarms to signal any unusual activity. Response time to any potential abnormality is exceptionally rapid using this system, thus saving further illness, and possibly saving lives. Shown here with the Ultraview, are, left to right, Debbie Jenkins, Nurse Manager in the Perinatal and Pediatrics Departments; Gary Laber, State President, Fraternal Order of Eagles; Karen Johnson, Executive Director of the WMHS Foundation; and Rob Phillips, State Secretary, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
