New Class of Foundation Scholarship Graduates

The second class of three graduates from the WMHS Foundation Scholarship program recently began their new careers at the Western Maryland Health System after completing their nursing degrees at Allegany College.
Susan BeemanSusan Beeman, a Nursing Scholarship recipient in 2001, is now a nurse in the Operating Room on the Memorial Campus. An employee since 1979, she was the scheduling coordinator for surgery on both campuses for many years and was instrumental in the start-up of the health system's Centralized Scheduling Center.
Jeffrey Bennett, a 2002 Nursing Scholarship recipient, recently re-joined the Dialysis Unit on the Memorial Campus as a nurse. An employee with 17 years of experience, he had worked as a dialysis technician for ten years in the same unit where he is now employed. Jeffrey also has seven years' experience as a Naval Reserve Hospital Corpsman.Jeffrey Bennett
Tiffany (Shrout) BennettTiffany (Shrout) Bennett received the Community Scholarship from the WMHS Foundation in 2002 and she recently earned her nursing degree. She is currently employed as a nurse in High Level Care unit on the Memorial Campus. Tiffany had worked as an emergency room technician at a hospital in Southern Maryland, and two years ago she was selected was selected as EMT of the year at a volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad in Charles County.
