WMHS Foundation Purchases Ultrasound Unit for Women's Resource Center

The Western Maryland Health System Foundation recently donated $93,000 in funds to purchase new ultrasound equipment for the Women's Resource Center, part of the Women's Specialty Center on the Memorial Campus. Pictured with the new ATL HDI 5000 Ultrasound unit, made by Phillips Medical Systems, are (from left) Nancy Adams, Vice President of Patient Care Services at WMHS; Richard Schwab and John Diamond, WMHS Foundation board co-chairs; Karen Johnson, WMHS Foundation executive director; Denise Andrews, System Director for Radiology; and Norma Brown, WMHS Nursing Administration.  Schwab is also chairman of the Memorial Hospital Health Care Foundation and Diamond chairs the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation.  The WMHS Foundation was established last year by joining the board members from both hospital foundations into a single fund-raising entity.
