Michael J. Curran, M.D., F.A.C.C., has joined the Western Maryland Health System as an Interventional Cardiologist. He also will serve as the Medical Director of Cardiology at WMHS.
Dr. Curran earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, California.
Dr. Curran completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. His second fellowship was in interventional cardiology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Prior to coming to WMHS, Dr. Curran was Head of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
