WMHS Mobile - Home Care Satisfaction

Home Health Care is an important component of the patient care provided by the Western Maryland Health System, and we are committed to ensuring that patients receive quality care in their homes.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have developed a national survey that asks patients about their experiences with Medicare-certified home health agencies. This is the survey that WMHS sends to patients who have used our home care services.

Since all Medicare-certified home health agencies use this survey, patients can compare our level of care with other providers across the country. Here's how WMHS Home Care Satisfaction compares to the Maryland and National average for patients who received home health services between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012:

Patients who reported that their home health team gave care in a professional way

Patients who reported that their home health team communicated well with them.

Patients who reported that their home health team discussed medicines, pain, and home safety with with them

Patients who gave their home health agency a rating of 9 or 10 on a scale from 0 (lowest) to 10 (highest).

Patients who reported YES, they would definitely recommend the home health agency to friends and families
