Dr. Steven Mackay - New Interventional Cardiologist at WMHS
Steven M. Mackay, D.O., FACC, FSCAI, joined the Western Maryland Health System on January 2 and will practice interventional cardiology in the office with Dr. Christopher Haas and Dr. Michael Curran. 

Prior to coming to Cumberland, Dr. Mackay was on active duty as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Medical Corps, serving as the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.  He is also an assistant professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda. 

A graduate of the University of Colorado, Dr. Mackay received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Illinois and did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.  He did a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center/Walter Reed Army Hospital and completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Duke University Medical Center. 

Dr. Mackay is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, echocardiography, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.  His office is located in Suite 330 in the Western Maryland Medical Arts Center at 12502 Willowbrook Road.  Appointments can be scheduled by calling 240-964-8740.  WMHS is pleased to welcome Dr. Mackay to our community to provide quality care to tri-state area residents.
