The Western Maryland Health System offers the following insurance benefits to eligible employees authorized to work 32 - 80 hours biweekly. Those benefits marked with an * are only offered to employees authorized to work 60- 80 hours biweekly. The benefits plan is offered on an annual basis.
MEDICAL
Two medical plans to choose from: GOLD PLAN - PPO or SILVER - MANAGED CARE
Employees can sell PTO to help decrease the cost of benefits.
PAID TIME OFF
Paid time off includes vacation, holidays, personal time and sick leave. Full and part time employees accrue PTO per pay period based on the employee's worked hours and length of service. Relief employees do not accrue paid time off benefits.
FUNERAL LEAVE
Leave with pay, not to exceed a maximum of (3) scheduled work days, may be granted to employees in the event of a death in the immediate family.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
The tuition reimbursement program is designed to aid employees who wish to further their education and improve their job skills. Full time employees may receive a maximum of $2000 reimbursement per year. Part time employees are reimbursed on a prorated basis.
CERTIFICATION REIMBURSEMENT
Employees are eligible to receive reimbursement for professional certification in related job fields provided they have completed a satisfactory probationary period.

Eligible employees can sell up to 40 Hours of PTO for cash.
