Results from Foundation Golf Classic

Radon MedicalThe Western Maryland Health System Foundation announces the winners of the 17th Annual WMHS Golf Classic, the area’s premier charity golf event. The 55 team, two course tournament was held Friday, September 13, at the Rocky Gap Casino Resort and the Cumberland Country Club. 

The gross division winners, shooting a 59, were the Radon team of Steve Mohr, Scott Bennett, Scott Mohr and Jay Santangelo (right) at the Rocky Gap course and the Wells Fargo team, shooting a 57, of Steve Stroup, David Wertz, Mike Feaster and John Whitmore (below) at the Cumberland Country Club.  
 
Wells Fargo A card-off was needed after two teams shot a 64 at Rocky Gap.  2nd place gross winner at Rocky Gap, shooting a 64, was the Rocky Gap team of Mark Jewell, Heinrich Pauli, Arnel Kazazic and Butch Blank.  The 2nd place card-off loser was the McKesson team of Charlie Messick, Karl Geise, Rob Pollock and Mike Clark.

The 2nd place gross winner at the Cumberland Country Club was the PharmaCare Network team, shooting a 59, with John Robinson, Mike Ruppenkamp, Slug Armstrong and Johnny Blank.  Third place gross at the Cumberland Country Club went to the Document Solutions team, shooting at 61, with Greg Hare, Terry Snider, Gus Bell and Wally Ingram. 
Medline Team 
Rocky Gap’s net champion, shooting a 58, was the Medline team (right), of Don Reams, John Gordon, Mark Morgan and Aaron Grilly.  A card-off was needed after two teams shot a 60 at Rocky Gap. 2nd place net went to the Moran Coal team of Don Moran, Al James, Bob Marendt and Dave Marple.  The 2nd place card-off loser was the Leach Wallace team of Brian Leconte, Tom Molino, Bob Leach and Keith McMullen. 

Susquehanna Wealth ManagementThe Country Club’s net champion, shooting a 55, was Susquehanna Wealth Management team (left) of Kip Siedling, Dr. Jim Snodgrass, John Persons and Troy Raines.  2nd place net card-off winner was the Susquehanna Bank team, shooting a 57, of Mike Hough, Paul Crampton, Jim Randall and Wayne Ridenour.  2nd place net card-off loser was the Cumberland Country Club team, shooting a 57, of Dale Dickerhoof, Mike Mattingly, Brian Jenkins and Rune Andreassen. 

Closest to the pins at Rocky Gap were Scott Bennett on #4, Dave Marple on #6, Steve Cornell on #12 (ace); Butchy Blank on #16 Lucas McGill on #17.

Closest to the pins at the Cumberland Country Club were Scott Raley on #1, Mike Feaster on #6, Greg Hare on #10, Jeff Frank on #12, Jeff Frank on #15 and George Lapp on #18.
 
Straightest Drive went to Mike Clark on #8 at Rocky Gap and Jon Ketzner on #14 at Cumberland Country Club.
 
Longest Drive went to Eric Wise on #11 at Rocky Gap and Scott Raley on #8 at Cumberland Country Club.
 
Putting contest winners at the Cumberland Country Club were the PharmaCare Network team.
 
Proceeds from the event directly benefit the community through the work of the Western Maryland Health System.
