2012 Pinnacle Award Recipient - Denise Marsh, RN, from 7 North
Cheryl "Denise" Marsh, RN, (center) from 7 North, is pictured accepting the 2012 Pinnacle Award from WMHS President and CEO Barry Ronan (right), along with Emma Brashear, the 2011 Pinnacle Award winner. A special luncheon was held in the auditorium on Wednesday, June 6, with members of the WMHS Administration, the 12 Pinnacle Award nominees, and the Department Director from each nominee's department.
The award, which honors the Western Maryland Health System’s Employee of the Year, is presented annually to one of the monthly Values in Action Award recipients from the past 12 months.
An employee since 1989, Denise is an outstanding nurse and effective leader with a positive outlook and professional manner. She is described by co-workers as flexible, efficient, fair and very organized. Denise serves as a mentor to others and is well-known for developing an excellent rapport patients, families and medical staff. She is a shining example of service excellence at its best and exemplifies our core values.
