2011 Pinnacle Award Recipient - Emma Brashear from Wellness

Emma Brashear (left) from Community Health & Wellness, is pictured accepting the 2011 Pinnacle Award from WMHS President and CEO Barry Ronan.  The luncheon was held in the auditorium on Tuesday, May 17, with WMHS Administration, the 12 Pinnacle Award nominees, and the Department Director from each nominee's department.    

The award, which honors the Western Maryland Health System’s Employee of the Year, is presented annually to one of the monthly Values in Action Award recipients from the past 12 months. 

An employee for 21 years, Emma works in Community Health and Wellness at the health system, where she is a tireless and compassionate advocate for all of her clients.  She is especially good at helping those who lack the resources for a reasonable quality of life.  Emma has a high regard for the dignity and worth of each person and is committed to our mission of improving the health status of our community.

Previous Pinnacle Award Winners were: Lori Evans, Lab (2010); Kelly Winterberg, Radiology (2009); Samantha Jones, Social Work (2008); and Bill Lewis, ICU (2007).
